The project “Same Life. Different Challenges.” was created with a simple goal – to help people better understand life with urinary incontinence. Although it is a health condition that affects millions of people around the world, it is still surrounded by many prejudices, shame and silence. This website aims to help gradually change that.
Incontinence affects more than a person’s health. It also affects their everyday life, work, travel, sport and relationships. Yet many people know very little about it and often do not realise what situations people living with incontinence face every day.
Misconceptions can lead to unnecessary fear, shame or judgement. We believe that open and understandable information helps create more understanding, respect and empathy.
This website is for anyone who wants to learn more about incontinence. It can be useful for people living with incontinence, their families, friends, colleagues and the general public. We believe that better understanding helps break down prejudice and makes life easier for people affected by incontinence.
The information provided on this website is for educational purposes and does not replace professional medical examination or treatment. If you have health problems or suspect that you may have incontinence, please contact your general practitioner or an appropriate specialist.
Behind every diagnosis is a person.
And every person deserves respect, understanding and dignity.
